INGREDIENTS
- 1½ cups softened butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 15 oz caramel **See notes
- 2 cups milk chocolate candy chips
- 2 tsp shortening
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat kitchen appliance to 350 degrees
- Cream butter and sugar along. Add your vanilla, flour and salt. Mix well.
- On a gently floured surface, roll dough resolute ½ in. thick.
- To cut cookies you'll be able to use a biscuit cutter or I simply used alittle glass that was a pair of inches wide.
- Place spherical cookies on a gently lubricated cooking utensil.
- Bake at 350 for 14-16 minutes.
- Let cookies cool.
- Melt caramel and unfold the caramel over the cooled cookies.
- Let caramel cool utterly.
- Add your shortening into the chocolate chips and soften within the microwave. Use a microwave safe bowl and watch in order that the chocolate doesn't burn.
- Spread molten chocolate over cooled caramel.
- Let chocolate set before serving.
- Do not place within the white goods because it can discolor the chocolate.
NOTES
- I use Peter's caramel that comes during a five avoirdupois unit block. you'll be able to simply stop what you wish, soften it and it's able to go. If you employ the kraft paper caramels, follow the directions on the bag for melting.
